From October 4 to October 5, 2022, the Volgatekh Center for Sustainable Management and Remote Monitoring of Forests held the XI International Scientific Conference "Forest Ecosystems in the Conditions of Climate Change: Biological Productivity and Remote Monitoring" online. Since 2005, the conference has been a permanent international forum for discussing regional and global problems of forestry in a changing climate.
The remote format of the conference made it possible to attract a large number of participants to its work. For two days, scientists from Russia, China, South Africa and Pakistan discussed topical issues of scientific research and practice, monitoring and remote assessment of forest management, international projects and technologies in the field of forest ecosystems in a changing climate. The conference was held within the framework of the international project GEMOECO BRICS RFBR.
The event was attended by employees and students of the Volga State Technological University. Among the Russian participants, scientists from Kazan, Penza, Ufa, Arkhangelsk, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Belgorod and Syktyvkar also took part in the conference. Materials of the conference speakers will be published in the international collection of articles "Forest Ecosystems in the Conditions of Climate Change: Biological Productivity and Remote Monitoring".
