Fr om May 15 to May 19, the director of the Training and Experimental Forestry of Volgatech, Nikolai Popov, attended an internship for managers and experts from the Russian Federation's forestry sector in the Republic of Belarus. The educational visit of our region's delegation was made possible by the Union of Forest Users of the Republic of Mari El.
The delegation from our country visited the Republican Center for Advanced Training of Forestry Workers, the state institution ‘Bellesozashchita’, the factory AMKODOR and several forestry enterprises, wh ere they learned about the best practices of their Belarusian colleagues.
Russian specialists learned about products intended for logging operations when visiting the permanent machinery exposition at 'AMKODOR. Harvesters for logging maintenance aroused great interest.
Participants were shown computer simulators AMKODOR which are utilized in the training of harvester operators and forwarders at the Republican Center for Advanced Training of Forestry Workers. There is also a mini-training ground at the Center for students to practice their practical skills. The internship participants were particularly interested in the technologies employed in the Republic of Belarus for felling care using multi-operative equipment, tillage and mulching methods, and the cultivation of planting material with a closed root system.
This year, the university will take foresters' experiences into consideration while holding specialized seminars at the Institute of Forestry and Nature Management and the Educational and Experimental Forestry of Volga State University of Technology.
It should be highlighted that during the working visit, an agreement was reached to expand cooperation with AMKODOR holding. Thus, representatives of the company will compete in the Republican competition of professional skills of harvester and forwarder operators, which will be held on the Volgatech base on May 26, as well as the competition of professional skills "The best feller," which will be held on June 16 in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Mari El.
