The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence SUFEX at Volga State University of Technology announces the 5th Russian Studies Summer School. We are located in Yoshkar-Ola, capital city of Mari El Republic in the European part of Russia.
The program features both indoor and outdoor activities including workshops and training sessions, cultural visits and small trips. Students practicing the Basic Russian language are sure to gain invaluable international experience this summer by making a trip to Russia, learn and feel the cultural diversity of the language and peoples residing in the Middle Volga Region.Duration of the program: 6 days

Program content:
Remote monitoring of environment: case studies in EU and Russia
Policy and issues of Climate Change: Good practices
Russian language and culture classes for beginners (Grammar, Language Use, Listening, Communication, Writing)
Cultural visits: tours to museums and famous sights, doing sports and recreational get-together activities. Special lectures and master classes will be held for students with their major in Remote sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Forestry and Environmental Studies.

The participants of the program will cover their visa costs, travel costs to Russia, Yoshkar-Ola and back, meals in Yoshkar-Ola, hotel and excursion costs in Moscow.
